Cocktail Base

Method

Prepare Glass

1

Choose a highball or pint glass. Rub the lemon wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip the rim into a shallow plate of coarse salt to lightly rim the glass. Fill the glass with ice cubes and set aside.

Build Cocktail

2

Mix

In a cocktail shaker (no need to shake vigorously for a Bloody Mary) or a mixing glass, add 2 oz Elevate vodka, 4 oz house-made Bloody Mary mix, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice and 0.25 oz fresh lime juice.

3

Add 3 dashes Tabasco and 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce to the shaker. Add 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper and 1/4 teaspoon celery salt. Add a handful of ice (about 1 cup) to the shaker/mixing glass.

4

Stir gently with a bar spoon for 15–20 seconds to chill and slightly dilute the mixture. Taste and adjust heat or seasoning: add additional Tabasco by dash if you prefer more spice, or a touch more Worcestershire for umami.

Assemble & Garnish

5

Strain the chilled Bloody Mary mixture into the prepared ice-filled glass.

6

Garnish with a celery stalk and a lemon wedge on the rim. Skewer the olives (and optional pickled green bean or okra) on a cocktail pick and rest across the top of the glass or drop into the drink.

7

Serve immediately with a stirring straw and a small extra bottle of Tabasco on the side for guests who want more heat.
