Base
Vanilla Shake (choose for vanilla flavor)
Chocolate Shake (choose for chocolate flavor)
Strawberry Shake (choose for strawberry flavor)
Oreo Shake (choose for Oreo flavor)
Add-ons & Garnish (optional)
Method
Prepare equipment
Chill glass (optional)
Place tall serving glasses in the freezer for 10–15 minutes to keep the milkshake colder longer.
Have a blender or milkshake machine ready and make sure blade assembly is secure. If using fresh strawberries, hull and quarter them; if using frozen, let sit 2–3 minutes to loosen.
Make base milkshake
Scoop 3 cups of real vanilla bean ice cream into the blender.
Add 1 cup whole milk and 1/4 cup cold heavy cream (if using). Add 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract to enhance flavor.
If making vanilla flavor: add 1/4 tsp vanilla bean paste or seeds.
Secure lid and pulse blender 2–3 times to break up ice cream, then blend on medium-high for 10–15 seconds. Scrape down sides with a spatula if necessary.
Flavor-specific steps
Chocolate
Add 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder and 2 tbsp chocolate syrup to the blender with the base. Pulse 3–5 times until cocoa is fully incorporated and the shake is smooth. Taste and add an extra 1 tbsp syrup if you prefer it sweeter. Pour into glass.
Strawberry
Add 3/4 cup fresh or thawed strawberries and 1 tbsp strawberry syrup or jam to the base in the blender. Blend on medium until fruit is fully pureed and evenly distributed (10–15 seconds). For visible strawberry pieces pulse a few times at the end. Pour into glass.
Oreo
Add 6 coarsely crushed Oreo cookies to the base in the blender. Pulse 4–6 times to break cookies into small pieces without turning completely smooth (you want visible cookie bits). If you prefer finer texture, blend longer. Pour into glass.
Finish & garnish
Top each milkshake with about 1/4 cup whipped cream (or to taste).
For vanilla or chocolate shakes, drizzle 1 tbsp chocolate or caramel syrup over whipped cream if desired. For strawberry, add a few strawberry slices. For Oreo, sprinkle 1 tbsp cookie crumbs on top.
Place a maraschino cherry on top if desired and add a straw and long spoon. Serve immediately.
