Cooking Instructions
1. Prepare the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy. Once done, remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess fat.
2. Form the Burgers
Divide the ground beef into two equal portions (about 1/3 lb each) and form them into patties. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
3. Cook the Burgers
In the same skillet used for the bacon, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
4. Add Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each burger patty and cover the skillet to help the cheese melt.
5. Assemble the Burgers
Toast the burger buns if desired. On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, then the cheesy burger patty, two strips of bacon, a slice of tomato, and pickles. Add ketchup and mustard to taste, then top with the other half of the bun.
6. Serve
Serve the double bacon cheeseburgers immediately while hot and enjoy!
