Olive Salad Preparation
Make the Olive Salad
In a mixing bowl, combine the green olives, Kalamata olives, pickled vegetables, minced garlic, olive oil, red wine vinegar, oregano, and black pepper. Mix well and set aside to let the flavors meld.
Sandwich Assembly
Assemble the Muffuletta
Slice the Gambino's Italian bread in half horizontally. Layer the mortadella, Genoa salami, capicola, and provolone cheese on the bottom half of the bread. Top with a generous amount of the prepared olive salad.
Heat the Sandwich
Place the top half of the bread on the sandwich and wrap it in aluminum foil. Heat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the sandwich is warmed through.
