Method
Cocktail Base
- 1
Measure and combine spirits
In a cocktail shaker, add 1.5 oz Elisir Novasalus and 0.5 oz Dolin Dry Vermouth.
Fruity & Sweet Components
- 2
Add 1 oz unsweetened cranberry juice, 0.5 tablespoon pomegranate molasses, and 0.5 tablespoon honey to the shaker. If your honey is very viscous, pre-dilute it with an equal part of warm water to make a honey syrup so it incorporates smoothly.
Citrus & Balance
- 3
Add 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice to the shaker. This brightens and balances the sweetness and bitterness.
Ice & Shake
- 4
Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup). Cap and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the shaker becomes very cold to the touch and the ingredients are well integrated.
Strain & Top
- 5
Double-strain the cocktail into a chilled Collins or highball glass filled with fresh ice. Top with 2 oz chilled sparkling water, pouring gently to preserve effervescence. Give a gentle stir (1–2 turns) to integrate the top without flattening the bubbles.
Garnish & Serve
- 6
Thread a few cranberries on a cocktail pick or float them on top, and express a lemon twist over the drink then drop it in. Serve immediately.
