Method
Cocktail
- 1
Build and shake
Add Four Roses Bourbon (1.5 oz), Banhez Mezcal (0.5 oz), fresh lime juice (0.5 oz), agave syrup (0.5 oz) and 2 dashes of orange bitters into a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup) so the liquid is well chilled.
- 2
Shake
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker becomes cold and slightly frosty. This chills and dilutes the drink to balance the spirits and sweetener.
- 3
Strain
Double-strain the cocktail into a chilled old-fashioned glass over a large ice cube or into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice to avoid small ice shards and to keep the drink smooth.

Serve immediately. The mezcal adds a subtle smoky note that complements the Four Roses Bourbon's caramel and fruit character; sip slowly.
