Main Ingredients

Maple Butter Syrup

Strawberry Compote

Method

Preparing French Toast

1

Make the Batter

In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.

2

Soak the Bread

Dip each slice of white bread into the batter, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.

3

Cook the French Toast

In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the soaked bread slices and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side. Repeat with remaining butter and bread.

Making Maple Butter Syrup

4

Combine Ingredients

In a saucepan, combine maple syrup and unsalted butter. Heat over low heat until the butter is melted and the mixture is warm.

Preparing Strawberry Compote

5

Cook Strawberries

In a small saucepan, combine fresh strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until the strawberries break down and the mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.

Making Whipped Cream

6

Whip the Cream

In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip with a hand mixer until soft peaks form.

Serving

7

Plate the French Toast

Serve the French toast warm, drizzled with maple butter syrup, topped with strawberry compote, and finished with a dollop of whipped cream.
