Enjoy a creamy and refreshing regular-sized strawberry shake made with ripe strawberries and smooth vanilla ice cream.

In a large brew kettle, heat 5 gallons of water to 165°F (74°C). Add the pale, crystal, and chocolate malts, stirring to fully immerse all grains. Maintain the temperature between 150°F and 155°F (65°C to 68°C) for 60 minutes.

Mashing

After mashing, separate the liquid (wort) from the grains. Bring the wort to a boil and add the bittering hops. Boil for 60 minutes, adding the aroma hops in the last 10 minutes of the boil.

Lautering and Boiling

After the boil, remove the kettle from heat. Stir in the toasted peanuts, raspberries, and peanut butter, ensuring they are well incorporated. Let it cool to about 70°F (21°C).

Adding Peanuts and Raspberries

Transfer the cooled wort to a fermentation vessel, pitch the yeast, and seal with an airlock. Allow it to ferment for 1 to 2 weeks at 65°F to 70°F (18°C to 21°C).

Fermentation

Once fermentation is complete, dissolve sugar in a small amount of water and add to the beer for carbonation. Bottle the beer and let it condition for 1 to 2 weeks.
