This Traditional Bavarian wheat beer has hints of banana & clove. It is Intentionally cloudy to highlight the wheat, which constitutes approximately 50% of the grain bill.

Heat 3 gallons of filtered water to 162°F (72°C) and add the crushed grains. Maintain the temperature for 60 minutes.

Mashing

Rinse the grains with an additional 3 gallons of water heated to 170°F (77°C). Collect the wort in your brew kettle.

Sparging

Bring the wort to a boil. Once boiling, add Hallertau hops and boil for 60 minutes.

Boiling

Cool the wort quickly to 70°F (21°C) using a wort chiller or an ice bath.

Cooling

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermenter, pitch the yeast, and seal with an airlock. Ferment for 1-2 weeks at 68-72°F (20-22°C).

Fermentation

After fermentation, dissolve priming sugar in a small amount of water, add to the beer, and bottle. Allow to carbonate for 1-2 weeks.
