Fit Turkey Wrap

In a large brew kettle, heat 3 gallons of water to 165°F (74°C). Add the pale malt, flaked oats, and caramel malt. Maintain the temperature at around 150°F (65°C) for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Mashing

After mashing, sparge the grains with 3 gallons of water heated to 170°F (77°C) to collect the wort.

Sparging

Bring the wort to a boil. Once boiling, add 1 oz of Mosaic hops and boil for 60 minutes.

Boiling

With 15 minutes left in the boil, add 1 oz of Citra hops and 1 oz of Strata hops.

Hop Additions

After the boil, cool the wort quickly using a wort chiller or an ice bath until it reaches about 70°F (21°C).

Cooling

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermenter and pitch the yeast. Seal the fermenter and let it ferment for about 1-2 weeks at 68-72°F (20-22°C).

Fermentation

After fermentation is complete, add the remaining hops (1 oz Mosaic, 1 oz Citra, 1 oz Strata) directly into the fermenter for dry hopping. Let sit for another 5-7 days.

Dry Hopping

After dry hopping, siphon the beer into a bottling bucket. Mix in the priming sugar and bottle the beer in sanitized bottles. Cap and let carbonate for 1-2 weeks.

Bottling
