Brunch

  1. 1

    Prepare the Waffle Batter

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and melted butter until fully blended.

  3. 3

    Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Gently mix until just combined; be careful not to overmix. The batter should be lumpy.

  4. 4

    Preheat Waffle Iron

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions. If necessary, lightly grease the iron with a small amount of butter or cooking spray.

  5. 5

    Cook the Waffles

Pour an appropriate amount of batter (usually about 1/2 to 3/4 cup depending on your waffle iron) onto the preheated waffle iron. Close the lid and cook according to your waffle iron's instructions until golden brown and crispy.

  6. 6

    Prepare the Berries

While the waffles are cooking, rinse the Ellis Farm berries under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.

  7. 7

    Serve the Waffles

Once cooked, carefully remove the waffles from the iron and place them on a plate. Top with a pat of additional butter, fresh berries, and drizzle with maple syrup to taste.
