Method
For the Beer Cocktail
Chill glass
Place a pint glass or large beer tulip in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare other components to ensure the cocktail stays cold.
Add ice to serving glass
Discard the chilling ice water if used and add approximately 1 cup of fresh ice to the chilled pint glass. The ice will moderate the beer and keep the cocktail cold.
Build with beer
Pour the combined non-beer mix gently over the ice. Slowly pour 12 oz of Saint Arnold beer down the side of the glass to preserve a moderate head. Pouring slowly reduces foaming and keeps the cocktail balanced. Use a lager or a clean, crisp Saint Arnold variety for best results.
Garnish & Finish
Garnish with a lemon wheel on the rim and an orange twist. Clap the mint lightly between your hands (if using) and tuck it into the drink for aroma. Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.
