Method

Cocktail

  1. 1

    Brew Coffee

Brew 1.5 cups of hot fresh coffee using your preferred method (drip, French press, or pour-over). Use a medium-strong brew so the flavors stand up to the liqueurs.

  2. 2

    Sweeten

Pour the hot coffee into a warmed 10–12 oz heatproof glass or mug. Stir in 1 teaspoon brown sugar (or simple syrup) until fully dissolved.

  3. 3

    Add Spirits

Add 1 tablespoon Grand Marnier and 1 tablespoon Bailey’s Irish Cream to the sweetened coffee. If you prefer a stronger, spicier drink, add the optional 1/2 tablespoon dark rum. Stir gently to combine.

  4. 4

    Spice

Grate a small pinch (about 1/8 teaspoon) of fresh nutmeg over the top and stir once to marry the flavors.

Garnish & Serve

  1. 5

Top with 2 tablespoons whipped cream if using. Finish with an orange twist or small slice on the rim for aroma. Serve immediately while hot.
