Cocktail

Method

Prepare Glass

  1. 1

    Rim (optional)

If you prefer a salted rim, rub a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks or margarita glass, then dip the rim into coarse salt or Tajín to coat. Set the glass aside.

Mix Cocktail

  1. 2

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.

  2. 3

Add 2 oz blanco tequila, 3 oz fresh pineapple juice, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 0.75 oz orange liqueur, and 0.5 oz simple syrup to the shaker.

  3. 4

Add 1 oz pineapple punch (or substitute with pineapple soda or extra pineapple juice) to introduce a brighter, punch-like profile.

  4. 5

Cover the shaker and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the exterior is cold and slightly frosted.

  5. 6

Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice (or leave it empty for a neat pour). Strain the shaken mixture into the glass over the ice.

  6. 7

Slowly drizzle 0.5 tsp grenadine down the side of the glass or over the back of a spoon so it sinks and creates a sunrise gradient (adds color and a sweet pomegranate note).

  7. 8

Gently stir once if you want a mild swirl of grenadine; do not over-stir or the gradient effect will disappear.

Garnish & Serve

  1. 9

Garnish the drink with a pineapple wedge and a lime wheel on the rim.

  2. 10

Serve immediately with a straw or cocktail pick. Enjoy responsibly.
