Black and Blue Brussels

Method

Preparation Instructions

1

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts

Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Rinse the Brussels sprouts under cold water and trim the ends. Cut each Brussels sprout in half lengthwise.

2

Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the bacon slices. Cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease. Once cooled, crumble the bacon into small pieces.

3

Season the Brussels Sprouts

In a large mixing bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated.

4

Roast the Brussels Sprouts

Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and tender, stirring halfway through the cooking time.

5

Combine with Blue Cheese and Bacon

Once the Brussels sprouts are roasted, remove them from the oven. In a large bowl, combine the roasted Brussels sprouts with crumbled bacon and blue cheese. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and toss gently to combine.

6

Serve

Transfer the Black and Blue Brussels to a serving dish and serve warm as a delicious side dish.
