Cooking Directions
Prepare the Patties
Divide the ground beef into two equal portions (1/2 lb each) and shape them into patties. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
Cook the Patties
Heat the cooking oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
Add Cheese
During the last minute of cooking, place 2 oz of Edam cheese and 2 oz of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cover the skillet to help melt the cheese.
Assemble the Burger
Toast the burger buns if desired. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, add the cheesy patty, top with a slice of tomato and onion, and finish with the top bun.
Serve
Serve immediately while hot, and enjoy your Lazy Boy burger!
