Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to make frites. Rinse the strips in cold water to remove excess starch, then pat them dry with a paper towel.

2

Fry the Frites

Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potato strips in batches for about 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste.

3

Make the Beer Batter

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Gradually whisk in the beer until the batter is smooth and thick.

4

Prepare the Fish

Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Dip each fillet into the beer batter, ensuring it is well coated.

5

Fry the Fish

Carefully place the battered fish fillets in the hot oil. Fry for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

6

Serve

Serve the beer-battered fish alongside the frites and your favorite tartar sauce.
