Preparation Steps

1

Melt the Chocolate and Butter

In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Melt them together over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) or in the microwave in short bursts, stirring until smooth.

2

Prepare the Biscuit Mixture

In a large bowl, crush the digestive biscuits into small pieces. You can use a rolling pin or a food processor for this. Add the chopped nuts, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt to the crushed biscuits.

3

Combine Mixtures

Once the chocolate and butter mixture is melted, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Pour this mixture over the biscuit mixture and mix until everything is well combined.

4

Shape the Salami

Lay out a sheet of plastic wrap on a flat surface. Spoon the mixture onto the plastic wrap and shape it into a log. Wrap it tightly in the plastic wrap, twisting the ends to seal. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until firm.

5

Serve

Once the chocolate salami is firm, remove it from the plastic wrap. Dust with cocoa powder or powdered sugar before slicing. Serve chilled.
