Fried Potatoes
Method
How to Make Fried Potatoes
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into even-sized cubes or wedges, about 1 inch thick.
Soak the Potatoes
Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry with paper towels.
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the dried potatoes to the hot oil in a single layer. Fry them for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
Season the Potatoes
Once the potatoes are cooked, remove them from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder while still hot.
Garnish and Serve
If desired, sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy your fried potatoes hot!
