Muddle Sugar
In an old-fashioned glass, add the Demerara sugar and bitters. Muddle them together until the sugar is dissolved.

Fill the glass with ice cubes, preferably large ones to slow melting.

Express the oils from the orange peel over the drink by twisting it and then drop it into the glass as a garnish.
