Method

Preparation of Ribs

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

2

Season the Ribs

Pat the baby back ribs dry with paper towels. Rub the salt and black pepper all over the ribs.

3

Wrap the Ribs

Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet.

4

Bake the Ribs

Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.

Mongolian BBQ Glaze

5

Prepare the Glaze

In a saucepan, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.

6

Reduce the Glaze

Let the mixture simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.

Finishing Touches

7

Glaze the Ribs

Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully unwrap them. Brush the Mongolian BBQ glaze generously over the ribs.

8

Broil the Ribs

Place the glazed ribs under the broiler for 5-8 minutes, until the glaze is caramelized and bubbly.

9

Garnish and Serve

Remove from the broiler, sprinkle with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Let rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
