Egg & Protein

Method

Egg & Protein

1

Cook protein

Choose either bacon or sausage links (serve two of either). For bacon: place bacon strips in a cold skillet in a single layer. Turn heat to medium and cook 3–5 minutes per side until crisp or desired doneness. Drain on paper towel. For sausage links: heat 1 tsp vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook sausage links, turning frequently, until browned and cooked through, about 8–10 minutes. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.

2

Cook egg

Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-low and add 1 tablespoon unsalted butter. Crack the egg into a small bowl, season with 1/8 tsp salt and a pinch (1/16 tsp) of black pepper. For a sunny-side up egg: gently slide egg into skillet and cook 2–3 minutes until whites are set but yolk still runny; cover the pan for 20–30 seconds if needed to finish whites. For over-easy: cook 1–2 minutes, flip carefully and cook an additional 20–30 seconds. For scrambled: whisk the egg with a fork, pour into skillet, and stir until softly set, 1–2 minutes. Plate the egg with the cooked protein.

Pancake option (choose 1)

3

If customer selected pancake: Preheat a nonstick griddle or skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with 1/2 tsp vegetable oil or melted butter. Pour 1/2 cup pancake batter onto the griddle for one medium pancake (about 4–5 inches). Cook until bubbles form on the surface and edges look set, 1.5–2 minutes. Flip and cook another 1–1.5 minutes until golden and cooked through. Keep warm and serve with 2 tbsp maple syrup alongside egg and protein.

French Toast option (choose 1)

4

If customer selected French toast: In a shallow bowl whisk 1/2 egg and 1 tbsp milk with 1/8 tsp cinnamon. Dip 1 slice of bread briefly into the egg wash, coating both sides but not saturating. Melt 1/2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the bread 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown and warmed through. Dust with 1/2 tsp powdered sugar if desired and serve with 2 tbsp maple syrup alongside egg and protein.

Fruit & Toast option (choose 1)

5

If customer selected fruit & toast: Toast 1 slice of bread to desired doneness. Spread 1/2 tsp butter on the toast. Arrange 1/2 cup assorted fresh fruit on the plate (berries, banana slices, or apple slices). Drizzle 1/2 tsp honey over fruit if desired. Serve alongside the egg and protein.

Plating & Serving

6

Assemble the plate for kids (10 and under): place the cooked egg and the two pieces of chosen protein on the plate. Add the chosen side (one pancake, one slice French toast, or fruit & toast). Include syrup for pancake/French toast and offer ketchup if preferred. Serve warm.
