Cooking Instructions

1

Caramelize the Onions

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are soft and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

2

Prepare the Beef

Heat the smoked pit beef in a pan over medium heat until warmed through. Add Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder, stirring to combine.

3

Assemble the Sandwiches

Slice the hoagie rolls and layer the warmed smoked beef on the bottom half. Top with caramelized onions and pepperjack cheese.

4

Toast the Sandwiches

Place the assembled sandwiches under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are lightly toasted.

5

Prepare the Au Jus

In a small saucepan, heat beef broth over medium heat. Season with additional Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to taste.

6

Serve

Serve the sandwiches hot with the warm au jus for dipping.
