Nothing best represents what tequila is all about than the aroma of baked agave that’s released when you open a bottle of our double barrel reposado tequila. Our tequila spends 11 months in a neutral-charred American white oak barrel and then an additional 30 days in a new charred barrel.

Bring the bottle to cellar or slightly chilled temperature (15–20°C / 59–68°F). Pour 45 ml of Casa Herradura Double BARREL Reposado Tequila into a rocks or tasting glass. Swirl gently to release the baked agave and charred oak aromas.

Chill & Pour

Smell: hold the glass at nose level and inhale gently. Note baked agave, warm vanilla, caramel, oak char, and subtle spice from the second new charred barrel finishing.

Taste: take a small sip, let it coat your palate, and note flavors of cooked agave, toasted oak, honeyed caramel, and toasted spice. Finish: observe lingering warm oak and gentle pepper on the finish.

Optional: serve with an orange twist expressed over the glass to add bright citrus aromatics that complement the barrel character.

Place 1–2 large ice cubes into a rocks glass. Add 45–60 ml of Casa Herradura Double BARREL Reposado Tequila over the ice. Stir gently once with a bar spoon to slightly chill and open the flavors without over-diluting.

Express an orange twist over the glass by holding the twist skin-side down above the drink and giving it a quick squeeze to release oils; rub the peel around the rim and drop it into the glass as garnish.

This simple stirred cocktail highlights the tequila's barrel profile.

Agave Oak Old-Fashioned

Rim: (optional) If you like a salted accent, rub a lime wedge around the glass rim and dip lightly into kosher or smoked sea salt.

Add to a mixing glass: 60 ml Casa Herradura Double BARREL Reposado Tequila, 15 ml agave nectar, and 2 dashes bitters (if using). Add a couple of large ice cubes.

Stir: Stir the mixture for about 20–30 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted (aim for about 15–20% dilution).

Strain: Strain into a rocks glass over one or two fresh large ice cubes.

Garnish: Express an orange twist over the drink, rim the glass with the oils, and drop the twist into the glass. Serve immediately.

Bottle handling: The tequila is best enjoyed within 1–2 years of opening when stored upright in a cool, dark place. Keep the cork or cap secure to preserve aroma and prevent oxidation.

Serving size: Standard pour is 45–60 ml per serving. A 750 ml bottle yields roughly 12–16 servings.
