Method
Prepare Base
Combine dry and wet base ingredients
In a medium bowl or a 24–32 oz jar with a lid, add 1 cup rolled oats, 1 cup milk, and 1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt. Stir until evenly combined so the oats are fully moistened.
Add sweetener and flavor
Mix in 2 tablespoons maple syrup (or honey), 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir thoroughly to distribute the flavors.
Optional Mix-Ins
If using chia seeds and/or nut butter, fold in 1 tablespoon chia seeds and 1 tablespoon nut butter now. Chia will thicken the mixture; nut butter adds richness and helps emulsify.
Refrigerate
Serve
After chilling, give the oats a good stir. If the mixture is too thick, stir in up to 2 tablespoons additional milk to reach desired consistency.
Top with 1 cup seasonal berries, 1/2 cup sliced banana (if using), and 2 tablespoons toasted nuts. Drizzle an extra teaspoon of maple syrup if you like it sweeter.
