Cocktail

1

Prepare glass

Chill a highball or Collins glass by filling it with ice and setting it aside for 2–3 minutes. Discard the ice just before assembling the drink (or leave if you prefer it extra cold).

2

Build cocktail

In a cocktail shaker filled halfway with fresh ice, add Tito's Vodka (2 oz), triple sec (1/2 oz), fresh orange juice (4 oz) and simple syrup (1/4 oz) if you prefer sweeter. Secure the lid.

3

Shake

Shake vigorously for about 8–12 seconds until the shaker feels cold and slightly frosted — this chills and slightly aerates the orange juice.

4

Strain and top

Fill the chilled glass with fresh ice (about 3/4 full). Strain the shaken mixture into the glass. Top gently with 2 oz chilled club soda for a lighter finish or 2 oz Starry (or lemon-lime soda) for a sweeter, carbonated twist. Stir once gently with a bar spoon to integrate.

5

Garnish and serve

Garnish with an orange wheel or an orange twist perched on the rim and optionally a mint sprig for aroma. Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer.
