1

Prepare glass

If you prefer a salted rim, run a lime wedge around the outer edge of a rocks or coupe glass. Pour the coarse salt onto a small plate and dip the rim into the salt to coat. Set the glass aside.

2

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz reposado tequila, 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice, 0.5 oz agave syrup, and 0.5 oz orange liqueur if using.

3

Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the shaker is chilled and slightly frosted.

4

Strain and serve

Double-strain (or fine-strain) the cocktail into the prepared glass over fresh ice if serving on the rocks, or without ice for a neat/coupe presentation.

5

Garnish

Garnish with a fresh lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Serve immediately.

6

Notes

Adjust sweetness by increasing or decreasing agave syrup by 0.25 oz increments. Use reposado for a smooth, slightly oaky flavor; blanco will make a brighter, herbaceous Primarita.
