Glass & Garnish

Method

Glass & Garnish

  1. 1

Chill a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes, or fill with ice water while you prepare the cocktail and discard before straining.

  2. 2

    Optional sugared rim

If you prefer a sugared rim, run a lemon wedge around the glass rim, then dip the rim into coarse sugar to coat evenly. Tap off excess.

  3. 3

Prepare garnish: make a lemon twist by cutting a thin strip of lemon peel (avoiding pith) or slice a thin fan of fresh peach. Set aside.

Cocktail

  1. 4

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice (about 4–6 cubes).

  2. 5

Add 1.5 oz peach vodka, 0.5 oz Solerno blood orange liqueur, 2 oz white cranberry juice, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, and 0.25 oz simple syrup (if using) to the shaker.

  3. 6

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.

  4. 7

Discard ice or water from the chilled serving glass. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe or martini glass using a hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer (to remove small ice shards and any pulp).

  5. 8

Add 1–2 fresh ice cubes to the glass only if you prefer the drink slightly colder and slower to dilute (optional).

  6. 9

Garnish with the lemon twist or thin peach slice on the rim or floated on the surface. Serve immediately.
