Base

Method

Prepare Glass & Garnish

1

Chill glass (optional)

If you prefer the mocktail extra cold, place a highball or Collins glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes before assembling.

2

Thread the maraschino cherry and gummy shark on a short cocktail pick or skewer so the gummy shark sits near the rim and the cherry hangs below it. Set aside.

Assemble Drink

3

Fill the chilled glass with ice to about 3/4 full.

4

Pour 8 fl oz of Sprite (lemon-lime soda) over the ice.

5

Add 2 drops of blue food coloring to the soda. Gently stir once with a bar spoon to disperse the color; the drink should become a light blue-green.

6

Slowly pour 0.5 fl oz of grenadine down the inside of the glass so it sinks toward the bottom, creating a layered red 'blood' effect.

7

Carefully rest the prepared garnish (cherry + gummy shark) on the rim or hook it on the inside of the glass so the gummy shark appears to 'bite' the rim and the cherry dangles.

Serve

8

Serve immediately with a straw. Instruct drinkers to stir if they want an even color and flavor before sipping.
