Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

  1. 1

    Measure & Combine

Add 2 oz Código 1530 Blanco Tequila, 1 oz Cointreau, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 0.25 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.5 oz fresh orange juice, and 0.5 tablespoon agave nectar into a cocktail shaker.

  2. 2

    Add Ice & Shake

Fill the shaker with about 1 cup of ice, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is cold and slightly frosted. This chills and dilutes the drink to proper balance.

  3. 3

    Prepare Glass

While shaking, run a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks or margarita glass. Dip the rim into coarse sea salt or kosher salt (about 1 tsp) to coat. Fill the glass with fresh serving ice (about 1 cup).

  4. 4

    Strain & Serve

Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared glass over the serving ice to remove small ice shards and any pulp. If you prefer the drink straight up, omit the serving ice and fine-strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass.

Garnish & Finish

  1. 5

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim and an optional thin orange twist laid on top. Serve immediately.
