Method
Cocktail
- 1
Muddle
Place the fresh or frozen blueberries and 0.5 oz simple syrup into a cocktail shaker. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently muddle until berries are broken down and release their juices (about 20β30 seconds).
- 2
Add liquids and ice
Add 2 oz blueberry vodka, 1 oz fresh lemon juice, and 1 oz chilled lemonade to the shaker. Fill the shaker with ice (about 6 ice cubes).
- 3
Shake
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12β15 seconds until the outside of the shaker becomes frosty and well-chilled.
- 4
Double-strain
Prepare a chilled martini coupe or chilled martini glass. Double-strain the cocktail through a fine mesh strainer (and the shakerβs strainer) into the glass to remove blueberry solids and crushed ice for a smooth drink.
Garnish & Rim
- 5
Sugar rim
Run the lemon wedge around the rim of the chilled glass. Pour 1 tbsp granulated sugar onto a small plate and gently press and twist the wet rim into the sugar to coat evenly. Tap off any excess.
- 6
Garnish
Skewer 3 fresh blueberries on a cocktail pick and rest across the rim or drop into the drink. Optionally add the lemon wedge on the rim. Serve immediately.
