Fresh Apple Plate
Wash and prepare apples
Rinse the apples under cool running water, rubbing gently to remove any wax or residue. Pat them dry with a clean towel.
Core and slice
Using an apple corer or a paring knife, remove the core from each apple. Slice each apple into 8 even wedges (or into thin rounds if preferred). Aim for uniform thickness so they finish and present evenly.
Make lemon wash
In a small bowl, combine the lemon juice and water. Stir briefly. This mixture will prevent the apple slices from browning and add a bright flavor.
Toss slices
Place the apple slices in a medium bowl and pour the lemon wash over them. Gently toss the slices with your hands or a spoon until all surfaces are lightly coated. Let sit for 1–2 minutes to absorb.
Season and finish
Transfer the tossed apple slices to a serving plate. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the apples to enhance sweetness. If desired, drizzle honey evenly over the slices (about 1 teaspoon total) and lightly dust with ground cinnamon (about 1 teaspoon) for extra flavor. Serve immediately.
Storage note
If not serving right away, keep the lemon-coated apple slices in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. The lemon wash slows browning but will not stop it indefinitely.
