Burger Preparation

1

Prepare the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the applewood bacon until crispy. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.

2

Form the Patties

In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Form into two equal patties.

3

Cook the Burgers

In the same skillet, add olive oil and heat over medium-high. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. Add blue cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

4

Toast the Buns

While the burgers are cooking, toast the potato buns in the skillet until golden.

5

Assemble the Burger

Spread fig jam on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place the cooked burger patty on top, followed by bacon slices. Top with the other half of the bun.

6

Serve

Serve the burgers warm with your choice of sides.
