Chill glass
If desired, place a copper mule mug or a highball glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes before making the drink to chill it.
Add ice
Fill the chilled mug or highball glass about three-quarters full with ice cubes (approx. 1 cup).
Pour vodka and lime
Measure and pour 2 oz Absolut Vodka over the ice, then add 0.5 oz fresh lime juice.
Top with ginger beer
Slowly top the drink with 4 oz chilled ginger beer. Pour gently to preserve carbonation and create a slight head.
Stir gently
Using a bar spoon, stir gently 3–4 times to combine the vodka, lime juice, and ginger beer without flattening the soda.
