Ice Cream Tub Recipe

Soften the ice cream slightly so it’s scoopable but not melted: leave at room temperature for 2–3 minutes or run the scoop under warm water and shake dry.

Using an ice cream scoop, place two rounded scoops (about 2 cups) of vanilla ice cream into the serving tub, filling roughly two-thirds of the tub.

Add one rounded scoop (about 1 cup) of chocolate ice cream on top or beside the vanilla to create a two-flavor tub.

Gently press the scoops to create a neat, slightly domed surface, leaving space for toppings.

Mini Buttons

Sprinkle 1/4 cup Mini Buttons evenly over the exposed ice cream surface so they cover the top and spill slightly down the sides.

Mini Smarties

Scatter 1/4 cup Mini Smarties over the tub, distributing colors evenly for visual appeal.

Mini Marshmallows

Evenly distribute 1/4 cup mini marshmallows across the top of the ice cream, pressing lightly so they adhere.

Cadbury Flake

Crumble 1 Cadbury Flake into small shards and sprinkle the shards across the top of the ice cream, reserving a small piece to stand upright for presentation if desired.

Maltesers

Scatter 1/4 cup Maltesers evenly over the top, gently pressing a couple into the ice cream so they stay in place.

If using, drizzle up to 2 tbs chocolate sauce and/or 2 tbs caramel sauce over the topping in a thin zigzag pattern.

Add a light pinch (about 1 tsp) of sprinkles if you want extra color and texture.

Garnish with a fresh mint leaf on the side of the tub for a finishing touch.

Serve immediately for best texture and appearance.

If you need to store, cover the tub tightly with a lid or plastic wrap and return to the freezer. For best quality, consume within 1–2 days to avoid topping sogginess; remove from freezer and rest 3–5 minutes before serving again to soften slightly.
