1

Prepare glass

Chill a highball or Collins glass by filling it with ice and setting it aside while you mix the drink.

2

Build the cocktail

Discard the chilling ice from the glass. In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Absolut vodka, 1 oz strawberry puree, 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice, and 0.5 tsp simple syrup (use only if your strawberry puree is unsweetened or you prefer a sweeter drink). Add a handful of ice to the shaker (about 4–6 cubes).

3

Shake

Secure the shaker and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until the outside of the shaker is cold and slightly frosted. This chills and integrates the puree with the citrus and spirit.

4

Strain and top

Double-strain the contents into the chilled glass filled with fresh ice (use a Hawthorne strainer and fine mesh if available) to remove seeds and large pulp. Top gently with 2 oz soda (lemon-lime or club soda) to create a light fizz. Stir once gently with a bar spoon to combine without flattening the soda.

5

Garnish and serve

Thread the fresh strawberry onto the rim or place it on a pick and add a lemon wheel to the glass. Serve immediately with a straw.
