Base & Mixer

Method

Prep

1

Choose seasonal accent

Decide which seasonal accent you want to use: Spring (mint), Summer (berry muddle), Autumn (cinnamon syrup), or Winter (cranberry). Prepare any component that isn't ready-made (see notes).

2

If using cinnamon syrup, make ahead by combining equal parts water and sugar with a 1-inch cinnamon stick, simmer 5 minutes, cool and strain. If using fresh berries, rinse them and set aside. Pick fresh mint leaves and gently slap to release aroma.

Build the cocktail

3

Fill a highball or Collins glass with cubed ice (about 1 cup).

4

If using muddled ingredients (mint or berries): place the mint leaves or fresh berries in the bottom of a mixing glass or the serving glass and gently muddle 4–6 times — enough to release oils/juice but not pulverize. If using winter cranberry or autumn cinnamon syrup, skip muddling.

5

Add the vodka (1.5 oz), fresh citrus juice (0.5 oz — use lemon for Spring/Summer, orange for Autumn, or lime for Winter), and simple syrup (0.25 oz). If using cinnamon syrup instead of simple syrup, add 0.25 oz cinnamon syrup and omit plain simple syrup.

6

Stir briefly (6–8 seconds) to combine the spirit, juice, sweetener, and muddled fruit/herbs.

7

Open the Red Bull can and slowly top the glass with 8 oz of Red Bull to preserve carbonation and create a layered visual effect if desired. Pour gently over the back of a spoon or down the side of the glass for a cleaner layer.

Finish & Serve

8

Garnish with the chosen seasonal accent: a mint sprig for Spring, a whole berry or skewer for Summer, a thin orange wheel and a light dusting of ground cinnamon for Autumn, or a lime wheel and a few whole cranberries for Winter.

9

Optionally give the drink one very gentle stir (2–3 turns) to integrate flavors without losing too much fizz.

10

Serve immediately with a straw. Encourage guests to rotate seasonal offerings by swapping in different Red Bull seasonal flavors and matching accents.
