Cocktail

Optional (for brighter flavor)

Method

Prep

1

Chill glass

If you prefer a colder drink, place a highball or Collins glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you gather ingredients.

2

Squeeze and measure fresh orange juice (and lime juice if using) so it's ready to pour.

Build the cocktail

3

Fill a highball or Collins glass with cubed ice, leaving about 1/2 inch of space at the top.

4

Pour 2 oz Deep Eddy Orange (orange vodka) over the ice.

5

Add 1/2 oz triple sec to the glass.

6

Pour in 3 oz fresh orange juice. If using, add 1/4 oz fresh lime juice and/or 1/4 oz simple syrup here to taste.

7

Gently stir the mixture 6–8 times with a bar spoon to combine the spirits and juice without flattening the soda that will be added.

8

Top the drink with 2 oz Sprite (or lemon-lime soda). Pour slowly over the back of a spoon or down the side of the glass to preserve carbonation.

9

Give one very gentle stir (1–2 turns) to integrate the soda with the base but keep effervescence.

10

Garnish with an orange wheel or a twist placed on the rim or floated on top.

Serve

11

Insert a straw if desired and serve immediately while cold and fizzy.

12

If making a pitcher, multiply ingredient quantities by the number of servings, build in a large pitcher over ice, stir, then add soda right before serving.
