Cocktail

Method

Prepare Glass

1

Chill

Place a martini or coupe glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes to chill while you prepare the cocktail.

2

Pour the granulated sugar onto a small plate or shallow bowl and set near your workspace.

3

Run the lemon wedge around the rim of the chilled glass to moisten it evenly.

4

Invert the glass and dip the moistened rim into the sugar, twisting gently so the sugar adheres to the entire rim. Set the glass aside.

Make Cocktail

5

Fill a cocktail shaker with the ice (about 1 cup).

6

Add 2 oz citrus vodka (Deep Eddy Lemon recommended), 0.75 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup to the shaker.

7

Secure the shaker lid and dry-shake (shake without ice) for 5–7 seconds if you prefer a slightly frothier texture, then add ice and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is very cold.

8

Strain the cocktail through a fine mesh strainer (or the shaker strainer) into the prepared sugared-rim glass to avoid passing any ice shards.

9

Garnish with the remaining lemon wedge on the rim or a thin lemon wheel, and serve immediately.
