Cocktail Base

Top & Finish

Method

Prepare Glass & Muddle

1

Muddle fruit

Add 3 cherries and the lime wedge (broken into 2–3 pieces) to a sturdy mixing glass or cocktail shaker. Use a muddler to gently press and twist until the cherries are broken down and the lime releases its juice and oils—about 10–15 seconds. Do not over-muddle to avoid excessive bitterness from the pith.

2

If you prefer a smoother drink, strain the muddled solids through a fine mesh strainer when pouring; otherwise leave them in for texture and extra cherry flavor.

Build the Cocktail

3

Add 2 oz vodka, 1 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz grenadine to the muddled fruit in the shaker.

4

Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup), cap and shake vigorously for 8–10 seconds until chilled.

Finish & Serve

5

Fill a highball glass with fresh ice. If you opted to strain, double-strain the shaken mixture into the glass to remove pulp; otherwise pour the whole contents over the ice.

6

Top with approximately 4 oz Sprite (adjust to taste). Gently stir once to combine, being careful not to fully flatten the soda.

7

Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim and a maraschino cherry dropped into the drink.

8

Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer.
