Method
Pork Belly
Prepare the Pork
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Season the pork belly with salt and pepper. In a large oven-safe dish, combine Korean BBQ sauce, minced garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Place the pork belly in the dish, cover with foil, and roast for 3-4 hours until tender.
Pulled Pork
Once cooked, let the pork rest for 15 minutes. Shred the pork with two forks, mixing it with the remaining sauce in the dish.
Crispy Onions
Matchstick Pickled Apples
Pickle the Apples
Slice the apples into matchsticks. In a bowl, combine rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Add the apple matchsticks and let sit for at least 30 minutes.
Bao Buns
Make the Dough
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and yeast. Add warm water and milk, and knead until a smooth dough forms. Let rise for 1 hour.
Steam the Buns
Divide the dough into small pieces and shape into buns. Steam for 15-20 minutes until fluffy.
