Method

Cocktail

  1. 1

    Build and shake

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Pour in 2 oz Bumbu rum, 1 oz coconut rum, 3 oz pineapple juice, 2 oz cranberry juice, and 0.5 oz fresh lime juice. If you prefer a slightly sweeter punch, add 0.25 oz simple syrup. Add 1 dash Angostura bitters if using.

  2. 2

    Shake

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels cold and slightly frosted.

  3. 3

    Prepare glass

Fill a highball or Collins glass with fresh ice (about 3/4 full).

  4. 4

    Strain

Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass over the fresh ice.

Garnish & Finish

  1. 5

Thread the pineapple wedge and maraschino cherry onto a cocktail pick and rest it across the rim of the glass. Float a lime wheel on top or place it on the rim. Add a mint sprig for aroma if desired.

  2. 6

Serve immediately with a straw. Optionally, give the drink one gentle stir to marry juices and garnish before handing to guests.
