Method

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Shrimp

In a large bowl, combine the peeled and deveined shrimp with olive oil, Creole seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper. Toss until the shrimp are evenly coated. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Broil the Shrimp

Preheat your broiler. Spread the marinated shrimp out in a single layer on a baking sheet. Broil for 2-4 minutes, or until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through. Keep a close eye on them to prevent overcooking.

Remoulade Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Remoulade Sauce

In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, hot sauce, chopped capers, and chopped parsley. Season with salt to taste. Mix well and set aside.

Sandwich Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Po'boy

Cut the French baguette or soft French bread in half lengthwise. Spread a generous amount of the remoulade sauce on both halves. Layer the shredded lettuce and sliced tomatoes on the bottom half, then top with the broiled shrimp. Drizzle with additional remoulade sauce if desired, and close the sandwich with the top half of the bread.

  2. 5

    Serve

Cut the assembled sandwiches into manageable portions and serve immediately with extra remoulade on the side.
