Beef Roast
Sandwich Assembly
Method
Beef Roast Preparation
Prepare the Ingredients
Start by finely chopping the onion and mincing the garlic cloves.
Sear the Beef
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear the beef chuck roast on all sides until browned, approximately 3-4 minutes per side.
Cook the Beef
Transfer the seared beef to a slow cooker. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, beef broth, bay leaves, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender and easily shredded.
Shred the Beef
Once cooked, remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Discard bay leaves and return the shredded beef to the slow cooker, mixing it with the remaining juice.
Sandwich Assembly
Prepare the Bread
Slice the French bread rolls lengthwise, ensuring not to cut all the way through.
Assemble the Sandwiches
On each roll, layer shredded beef, followed by a generous handful of lettuce and slices of tomato.
Add Remoulade Sauce
Drizzle the remoulade sauce generously over the assembled ingredients.
Serve
Close the sandwiches, cut them in half if desired, and serve immediately while warm.
