1

Chill glassware and ingredients

Place champagne flutes (or coupe glasses) in the refrigerator or freezer for 10–15 minutes to chill. Ensure sparkling wine and orange juice are thoroughly cold (about 40°F / 4–7°C) — this preserves bubbles and balance.

2

Prepare orange juice

If using fresh oranges, roll them firmly on the counter to loosen juice, cut in half and juice to yield about 1 cup (240 ml) of pulp-free juice. Strain through a fine mesh if you prefer no pulp.

3

Pour orange juice

Remove chilled flutes. Pour 1/2 cup (120 ml) fresh orange juice into each flute (fill to about one-third). For a traditional Mimosa use a 1:1 ratio; for a lighter drink use more sparkling wine.

4

Top with sparkling wine

Slowly tilt the flute and gently pour 1/2 cup (120 ml) chilled Champagne or dry sparkling wine down the side to preserve carbonation and produce a steady but gentle foam.

5

Optional additions

If using Triple Sec/Cointreau, add 1/2 tablespoon to the orange juice before topping with sparkling wine. If you prefer a slightly sweeter drink, stir in 1/2 teaspoon simple syrup into the juice first.

6

Garnish and serve

Garnish with an orange twist or a thin orange wheel on the rim. Serve immediately while effervescent.
