Vase Construction
Prepare the Paper
Take 3 sheets of your chosen paper and stack them together. Use a ruler to measure and mark rectangles of 10 inches in width and 12 inches in height on each sheet using a pencil.
Cut the Rectangles
Carefully cut along the marked lines using scissors. You should have 3 rectangles measuring 10x12 inches.
Form the Base
Take one of the rectangles and fold it in half lengthwise (10 inches). Unfold it, then fold each side towards the center crease to create a 2.5 inch width base. Glue the sides together securely.
Create the Body
Take the second rectangle and repeat the folding process, but this time, do not glue the sides together. This will allow the body to expand slightly.
Attach the Body to the Base
Take the glued base and attach the open edges of the body rectangle to the top edge of the base using craft glue. Hold until secure.
Finish the Vase
For the third rectangle, cut it into strips or shapes to create a decorative collar around the top of the vase. Glue the pieces around the rim.
Decoration
Add Color
Use markers or paints to decorate the exterior of the vase. Be creative with patterns, colors, or even inspirational quotes.
Embellishments
Use stickers or other embellishments to further personalize your vase. Ensure everything is securely attached and dry.
