- 1
Prepare saline
If you donβt have pre-made saline, dissolve 1/4 teaspoon fine kosher salt in 1 ounce warm water. Measure 1/4 ounce of that saline for the drink. Chill or set aside while you prep the cocktail.
- 2
Combine ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add 1.5 oz Campari, 1 oz Faccia Brutto, 0.75 oz freshly squeezed lime juice, 0.25 oz simple syrup, and 0.25 oz saline.
- 3
Add ice and shake
Fill the shaker with ice (about 3/4 to 1 cup). Shake vigorously for 12β15 seconds until the shaker is very cold and well-diluted.
- 4
Strain
Double-strain the cocktail into a chilled coupe or a rocks glass over one large ice cube, depending on preference. Use a fine strainer to catch any ice shards or pulp.
- 5
Garnish and serve
Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim or a grapefruit twist expressed over the top and dropped in. Serve immediately.

Tasting notes: The bitter-sweet backbone of Campari complemented by the herbal-bitter Faccia Brutto is brightened by lime and rounded by a touch of saline and simple syrup for balance.
