Method

Cocktail

1

If using egg white: add the egg white to a cocktail shaker (no ice) and perform a dry shake for 15 seconds to build foam.

2

Add the Ketel One vodka, St-Germain elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon juice, and rose syrup to the shaker. Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup) and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until well chilled (or 20 seconds if you did a dry shake first).

3

Strain the shaken mixture through a fine strainer into a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass, leaving room at the top for a splash of sparkling water.

4

Top gently with 1 ounce of chilled sparkling water to add lift and balance sweetness. If you used egg white, spoon the foam gently so it sits on top.

Garnish

5

Express the lemon twist over the drink by holding it peel-side down and giving it a quick twist to release oils, then rub the rim and drop it into the drink.

6

Place one edible rose petal or a small dehydrated rose on the foam (or float it on the surface) as a delicate final touch.
