Preparation

Chill & prepare

1. Chill bottle or can

Place the Coors Light in the refrigerator for at least 1–2 hours before serving. For quicker chilling, submerge the bottle or can in an ice-water-salt mixture for 15–20 minutes. The beer should be very cold (ideally 34–38°F / 1–3°C).

2. Chill glass (optional)

If using a glass, place it in the freezer for 10–15 minutes or fill it with ice and cold water for a few minutes, then pour out the water/ice just before pouring the beer. A frosty glass keeps the beer colder longer but can increase foaming when pouring.

Serve

3. Open beer

Carefully open the chilled can or bottle. Hold the bottle gently by the neck or the can by the body to avoid warming the beer with your hands.

4. Pour (optional)

For a poured beer, tilt the chilled glass at about a 45° angle and pour the beer slowly down the side. When the glass is about three-quarters full, tilt it upright and finish pouring to create a small, 1/2–1 inch (1–2 cm) head of foam. Pouring straight into the glass may create more foam.

5. Add garnish (optional)

If desired, serve with a lime wedge on the rim or to the side. Lightly squeeze the lime into the beer if you prefer a citrus note — this is optional and not traditional for Coors Light.

6. Enjoy

Serve immediately while cold. Keep any remaining beer refrigerated and consume within a day or two for best flavor and carbonation.
