Preparation

Cocktail

1. Chill glass

If desired, place a coupe or rocks glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice and water to chill while you prepare the cocktail.

2. Add ingredients to shaker

Fill a cocktail shaker with the measured ice (about 1 cup). Add 1.5 oz Tito's Vodka, 0.75 oz Licor 43, 0.5 oz triple sec, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, 1.5 oz fresh orange juice, and 0.25 oz simple syrup if you prefer a slightly sweeter finish.

3. Dry shake (optional)

For a slightly silkier texture and brighter citrus integration, close the shaker and shake vigorously without ice for 5–8 seconds (optional).

4. Shake with ice

Add ice if you dry-shook, or if already iced, seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker becomes cold and slightly frosty.

5. Strain

Discard the chilling ice from your glass if used. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe or an ice-filled rocks glass using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to remove ice shards and any pulp.

6. Taste and adjust

Taste briefly. If the drink reads too tart, add 0.25 oz more simple syrup; if too sweet, add 0.25 oz more fresh lemon juice, stir briefly with a bar spoon and re-taste.

Garnish & Serve

7. Garnish the cocktail with an orange wheel on the rim or a twisted orange peel perched on the glass. Optionally add a lemon twist for additional aroma. Serve immediately.
